The Coaching Process

Deciding to have a coach is an important decision and you should take your time. You need someone you’re comfortable with. You can tell a lot about me in my writing. As you read through this site, I encourage you to get a feel for the tone and approach I take. Does it make sense to you? Does it apply to your situation? Does it sync up with your style? If so, you’re ready to move forward.

Step 1

The first step in this process is to determine if we are a good fit. I’ve been successful with hundreds of managers and partners, but I’m fully aware that I’m not the right coach for EVERY professional. We make this decision together at the conclusion of a 15-20 minute introductory phone meeting. If we agree we can work together, we can move to the next step.

Step 2

The second step is for us to understand your style. If you have completed profiles in the past, we can use them. If not, I will schedule you to complete 2 personal assessments online, from which we will clarify your personal style.

Step 3

The third step is to identify and define your next level. What does it entail? What will it require of you? What changes need to be made in your work, function and role?

Step 4

The fourth step is to construct your development plan and begin the process of you living into your next level. You will learn how to understand and manage yourself, develop the skills required of you and measure your progress along the way. We will have a periodic discussion about your progress and your satisfaction with the process, making adjustments as necessary.

At any time during your coaching experience, you may withdraw from the Program for any or no reason. This is your Program and you are fully in control by giving me permission to instruct, guide, support, and hold you accountable.
